Hello, we are Tom and Cherron
Davis. We live on Virginia's Eastern Shore about 90 miles north of Norfolk,
VA where we have the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Chesapeake Bay to the
west. We live on a 4th generation farm that was the centerpiece of the
original land grant on the Eastern Shore, it was known as Dam's Plantation.
We have adopted this name as a fitting and proper kennel name for our Boxers.
We have had Boxers as pets for over 20 years. They helped raise our three
children and, at times, they helped us grow as well. We dearly love our dogs and they have become a very special part of our lives, staying behind once
our kids were grown and gone. We recently got involved in showing and we are enjoying having our Boxers in the ring. We look forward to our first litter sometime in the future and becoming even more involved with this wonderful breed.
Both Cherron and I have been actively
involved in the Standardbred racehorse game for over 30 years. From owning
racehorses to breeding champions to owning and operating a yearling sales
company, we have done it all. We have bred several State and National champions,
including one world record holder. We have sold yearlings for some of the
most successful breeding operations in the United States. Racehorses have been a large
part of our life for a long time.
We have an agricultural background.
We both were raised on farms and have owned a large farming operation.
We still have poultry farms here on the Shore. We were also involved in
a family operation of a chemical recovery plant here on the Shore. Our
roots are firmly embedded here and we are both very proud to be 'Shoremen'.
We have three children and 6 grand
children. All of our children are grown, married and live within a couple
of miles of us. We are a very close family. Our family is our life. We
enjoy our Sunday night family dinners every week that we can. Nothing comes
in front of our family, they are always number one.
Thank you for browsing our young
website. We look forward to meeting new people and always have time to
talk to another Boxer enthusiast.
